KAMAKA HF-1 / Kamaka Ukulele / Soprano Hawaiian Koa
299.00 $
Description
KAMAKA Ukulele
Soprano Size
This is a beautiful instrument featuring distinctive sapwood Hawaiian Koa, which is quite rare for a Kamaka Standard of this era.
The back wood grain is also distinctive, and the headstock veneer has figuring.
The rosewood is a deep color.
Hawaiian Koa body
Mahogany neck
Rosewood fingerboard and bridge
Schaller tuners
Made in 2006
String height on 4th string at 12th fret: approx. 2.5mm
Semi-hard case included
There are signs of use and minor scratches consistent with its age, but the neck is straight, the frets show little wear, and playability is not an issue. There are no repair records for cracks or other damage.
There is a ding on the edge of the body top towards the right. There is a scratch near the 3rd string tuner on the headstock top.
The sound is a rolling, classic Hawaiian sound, befitting a leading ukulele brand.
Personally, I feel the finish is glossier and the tone is softer compared to more recent models of the same type.
Thank you.
