Vintage SWL Linnette 13-Piece Hand-Made Oval Tablecloth Set

Gorgeous, highly collectible vintage SWL Linnette 13-Piece Hand-Made Oval Tablecloth Set. The set features extensive, intricate hand-crocheted lace or filet lace inserts. The lace forms beautiful concentric medallion borders that surround the embroidered panels. The solid linen sections are beautifully detailed with delicate, monochrome embroidered floral motifs, leaves, and vine tendrils. Each matching napkin piece features a scalloped hand-crocheted edge and a matching embroidered single leaf/flower corner design. SWL (a historical importer of fine linens, often originating from regions famous for lace-making like China, the Philippines, or Europe). Linnette (indicated by the handwritten name on the label, which refers to a fine, crisp linen or linen-blend fabric used for the solid panels). Marked Real Hand-Made, which means the intensive lace work was done entirely by hand rather than by machine. 13-piece set, which includes 1 large tablecloth and 12 matching napkins. The tablecloth is 72 x 108, a generous formal size designed to fit a large oval dining table (typically seating 8 to 10 people). Because this is an authentic, hand-made vintage piece, you should avoid modern washing machines and harsh detergents. The set is in good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear.
