Description

It appears that the product was released around the time of the first Thunderbolt, not Thunderbolt 2, so we have removed the Thunderbolt 2 description.

To those who have favorited this item, please be aware of this.

LaCie Thunderbolt 2.5-inch RAID HDD 1TB
*This is not Thunderbolt 3, which uses the same connector as USB Type-C.
It has the mini DisplayPort shape found on slightly older Macs.
It is likely that most Macs came standard with a Thunderbolt data communication port.

Since it is set to RAID striping by default, it offers faster access than a single portable HDD.

Many Thunderbolt portable HDDs have only one Thunderbolt port, but this unit has two, allowing for intermediate connection as well as daisy-chaining when connecting multiple Thunderbolt devices.

The instruction manual is still available online.

I purchased this used two years ago, but I am selling it because I have not used it myself. The previous owner reportedly used it for video editing.

The Mac HDD diagnostic software DriveDx indicates a GOOD health status.

Operating Hours: 3,451 hours

Includes Thunderbolt cable and AC adapter.
