Wooden sliding shoji screen with frosted glass, 8 available
This is an extremely rare glass shoji screen, made before the Showa era.
The glass, made with a technique that can no longer be replicated today, exudes an indescribable atmosphere.
The glass has been crafted with a technique that causes distortions when viewed through it.
It was used in a shoin (a Japanese-style reception room), but as the building is being dismantled, I have decided to part with it.
I would be delighted if someone could continue to use this precious glass shoji screen.
As the glass is very delicate, please only purchase if you are able to transport it yourself in a light truck or arrange for your own shipping.
The shipping origin is the Hoku region of Shiga Prefecture.
We have 8 panels measuring 117 cm wide and 180 cm tall.
We have 2 panels measuring 90 cm wide and 180 cm tall.
The price listed is per panel.
We are open to price negotiation based on the number of panels you wish to purchase.
We look forward to hearing from those who will cherish and use this item. Thank you.
