Lotus flower, lotus root, leaves already sprouting
Lotus Flower, Lotus Root - Already Sprouting
This listing is for lotus root.
It already has sprouts, so if you plant it, leaves will eventually emerge. Lotuses begin to grow floating leaves in spring, and after about a month, upright leaves will start to extend.
These upright leaves will grow, and around June, flower buds will appear from underwater, blooming approximately 20 days later.
The peak blooming season is around July to mid-August. If grown in a large pot with sufficient fertilizer and successful cultivation, it can bloom over a dozen times in one summer.
