Shippo Shippo Tsuanagi Pattern Calm Japanese Pattern Large Goshuincho Case (Can hold 2 books) Lucky Charm
Thank you for looking.
This is a case for goshuincho (temple/shrine seal books).
This is a large size, so it can hold two books. It is shown in the photo with two large goshuincho inside.
Meaning and Origin of the Shippo (Seven Treasures) Pattern:
? Harmony and Fulfillment: The connected circles symbolize abundance in relationships and harmony.
? Prosperity of Descendants: The continuous chain-like pattern signifies wishes for the prosperity of descendants and the rise of family fortune.
? Origin of the Name: It is said to be named Shippo because it is a beautiful pattern as valuable as the seven treasures (gold, silver, lapis lazuli, etc.) mentioned in Buddhist scriptures.
I made one for myself and found it very easy to use,
so I made this one with a cute fabric.
The lid part is made with fusible interfacing for a firm finish.
I wanted it to be light yet sturdy, so I paid attention to every detail.
